ADES PERSUADES AND CONVINCES

In Madagascar cooking with wood and charcoal has a long tradition. To convince people of energy saving cooking methods remains a great challenge.

With regular demonstrations on how to use solar cookers in outlying villages and in urban areas ADES tries to convince the population of the benefits of cooking with solar energy. In the Tuléar centre special courses are held to train instructors for field work.

In addition, schools, hospitals, missions and homes are encouraged to include solar cookers in their basic curriculums.

As the pictures show, ADES cooking demonstrations generally meet with lively interest.
